🌿 How to Prepare for Your Facial (Pre‑Care)

To ensure the best results and minimize sensitivity, please follow these recommendations:

  • Avoid sun exposure, tanning beds, or self‑tanners for at least 3–5 days prior to your appointment

  • Discontinue retinol, retinoids, AHA/BHA exfoliants, benzoyl peroxide, or acne medications 3–7 days before your facial (unless otherwise instructed)

  • Avoid waxing, threading, or laser treatments on the face at least 5–7 days prior

  • Do not exfoliate or use scrubs 3 days before your appointment

  • Arrive with clean skin when possible (no heavy makeup)

  • Inform your esthetician of:

    • Recent peels, injections, or medical treatments

    • Pregnancy, medications, or skin conditions

    • Any allergies or sensitivities

⚠️ If you have active cold sores, open lesions, sunburn, or severe irritation, your facial may need to be rescheduled for your safety.

✨ After Your Facial (Post‑Care)

Your skin may be more sensitive after treatment. Proper aftercare helps extend your results and protect your skin barrier.

  • Avoid touching or picking at your skin

  • Skip makeup for at least 24 hours (when possible)

  • Avoid heat for 24–48 hours:

    • Hot showers

    • Saunas or steam rooms

    • Intense workouts

  • Use only gentle cleansers and moisturizers

  • Avoid exfoliants, scrubs, or active ingredients for 3–5 days

  • Apply broad‑spectrum SPF 30+ daily (this is critical)

  • Keep skin hydrated—drink water and moisturize regularly

Mild redness, warmth, or tightness is normal and should subside within 24–48 hours.
